Malaysia

We arrived safely in Malaysia after a long journey from Wales, including a six hour stopover in Abu Dhabi. Tomorrow (Thursday 1st May) I start teaching seminars at 9am on the topic of Spiritual Warfare, at the SIB church - one of the fastest growing churches in Malaysia. I will be teaching one session of three hours on Thursday morning, another of two hours on Thursday evening, and another two hour session on Friday evening. I will also be preaching in the SIB services on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. We greatly value your prayers for this busy schedule. Pray that many believers will be brought to greater spiritual victory.

Still running

The Malaysia trip was amazing. On Saturday 15 March we had a great crowd at the dedication of the new building for Full Gospel Tabernacle, Kuala Lumpur. Julia and I have been friends with the lady pastor, Cheng Yoke Poh, for almost thirty years and it was great to see the fruit she is harvesting from her ministry.

On Sunday 16 March I preached to over 1,000 in Full Gospel Tabernacle central church in Subang Jaya. Many came forward for prayer during the appeal.

In the evening I ministered to about 15 people, several from African nations, in Kuchai Christian Centre. A real contrast in the numbers, but the presence of God was real in both places.

From Monday till Friday I taught in Tung Ling (that means "mountain in the east") Seminary on the topics of Prayer & Fasting and New Testament Survey. It was wonderful to have students hungry for God's word. Many from this School of Ministry will go on to serve God effectively. What a privilege to have input into their lives!!

Then came the dash. After the final morning session on Friday I had to drive to Kuala Lumpur to return the car I had borrowed. I got back to the apartment just in time to finish packing before being driven to the airport for my flight to Heathrow via Abu Dhabi. From Heathrow (it was now Saturday) I got the tube to King's Cross and then the train to Doncaster in Yorkshire. There I was met by my granddaughter, Charlotte and was driven at high speed (she always drives like that) to my daughter, Andrea's house. After lunch with some of the family, Julia (she had driven from Wales that morning) and I checked into a hotel in Doncaster and, after a brief rest, drove to Rotherham where I preached on Saturday night and two Sunday services at the Station Road church Easter convention. The God who was powerfully present in Malaysia was greatly with us in Rotherham. He is still touching and transforming lives.

On Tuesday night, 25 March, I was privileged to preach for my pastor, John Oakley, in his church in Dinnington, near Sheffield. Significantly, this small church gave a generous gift towards my trip to Kenya in August, and more significantly, became the first church to commit to supporting us when we go back into full time missions in June.

Since getting back home to Wales, julia and I have been flat out preparing for our approaching launch back into missions. There are many details to pray through. We really value the prayers of all our frinds.
